Most of us think that biometric recognition on phones was introduced by a
renowned mobile company some years ago; however, biometrics on mobile
phones is way older then that. The fingerprint biometric authentication was first introduced by a south Korean mobile manufacturer on its phone in 2004 and amazingly it was not a smartphone even. Motorola was the first one to introduce fingerprint authentication in an android handset.
