Web Time – A Stress Free Participation

Introducing the Web Time app., a smart phone application which is designed to solve all our mobile attendance and leave management queries



Web Time application holds answers of all the questions related to mobile leave management as it is proving to be a fruitful mobile application for everyone ranging from field employees to their reporting persons and the admins as well. It will be easier to understand this as a mobile version of the Leave Management Software which we use in our computer system. The application which supports android and IOS Operating Systems can be installed with prior authorization from the office authorities for secure login.

Biometric Access Control – Next Level Surveillance Act

Examining two of the most eminent features in an access control system and door controller with slave reader operated through smart cards or finger punch for surveillance.



Anti Pass Back:
This refers to a process of blocking the unauthorized access of unregistered person through a registered employee.

It has been experienced in the offices that unauthorized people access a particular floor with the help of an authorized person with only one access card. Once an employee who has marked IN by punching the card on access system will need to mark OUT as well to complete one cycle on IN and OUT from the floor, otherwise the system won't allow the employee to enter or leave the floor, this feature, in turn, can block the exit of the person who has entered the floor illegally as he/she won't be able to move out from the floor now.



Feedback Locks:

Following the list of various modes of security breach through access control systems, another one in the list can be a physical barrier which can obstruct a gate from closing, let us suppose an authorized employee opened the door with the access card and placed a chair, rod or any other object before the door creating a barrier and not letting it to meet the armature plate to get closed. This act can make the doors open for everyone. What is particular about feedback locks is the siren or beep sound which gets installed with the doors so that if any object restricts the door in getting closed, the siren or beep sound starts ringing, informing everyone about the suspicious activity.

People relying on facial recognition more due to corona virus outbreak

While the epidemic #coronavirus spreading its roots in the world and Asian countries with an instant speed reaching the toll of approximately 3000 reported deaths so far, the people across the globe are fully aware of one of its main cause, which is touching the surfaces with contaminated virus and bacteria.
In a survey, it was reported that the people on the Airports, Railway Stations and other public areas are avoiding or denying touching the #biometricAuthentication machines for immigration purpose and rely more on facial recognition technique. Did you know!!!

Most of us think that biometric recognition on phones was introduced by a
renowned mobile company some years ago; however, biometrics on mobile phones is way older then that. The fingerprint biometric authentication was first introduced by a south Korean mobile manufacturer on its phone in 2004 and amazingly it was not a smartphone even. Motorola was the first one to introduce fingerprint authentication in an android handset.

UPGRADED BIOMETRICS - SOLVING “SOLVED PROBLEMS”



What the world demands in 21st century is convenience at our doorsteps, finger tips and are ready to spend money on the best versions which will be first in the row in terms of features, technology, comfort, ease, safety, authenticity and minimum exposure to risk and threats. Some queries which are still waiting to be catered and to be available as answers to the world.

Can biometric sensors be small enough to be transported or can be used at the most remote areas? Their are certain equipment which are necessary to be installed with biometric sensors and machines to complete the biometric authentication process but due to geographical conditions and limited availability of some essential machines restricts to complete the process. let's take an example, AADHAR verification process requires a computer system, finger, iris scanner machines, electricity back up and some other equipment which restricts its use in some remote areas where we experience power cuts and other kinds of problems or we can say the verification process was held in those places where these kinds of facilities were available. Occasionally it becomes difficult to transport every electronic item which further acts as a problem. There are still a part of population in this world those who are are not legally registered under the government's biometric system and suffers lack of identification. This non identification is a major risk of cross border illegal trafficking of people. So the question is, “how can we reach to the most remote people”?

We are still not able to win over the environmental factors which affects working of a biometric machine. It is always advised to install the biometric & access control machines in a relatively cool and clean environment. Different kinds of weather, sudden changes in heat, rain, wind strokes & extreme cold conditions affects the functioning of the machines.

However countries like India & China are the topmost Asian Countries those who are spending well in the field of Biometrics and as we have mentioned in point 1 with the term “Solved Problems” the authorities are available with the justifications over it but answers are still needs to be find out. It is estimated that by 2022 scientists & researchers will be able to deliver some favorable results over these topics. With this let's hope to have a secure and well versed world to live with sound & safe surveillance technology.
